Show Piece: 10” x 5” Vase, Set on 7½” x 7½” Raised Base Five Steps: 1) Cut four identical sides out of amber glass with green iridescent base at bottom. Sprinkle fine frit in colors of orange, red, amber on top of glass. Cut four maple leaf stencils and place under glass. First firing on kiln shelf floor. 2) Make tree stencils, place open stencil & sprinkle black fine frit inside cut out piece. Sprinkle medium clear frit on top of glass sides and the top of lantern even over the top; second firing. 3) Carefully glue and support overnight the four lantern sides. 4) Cut and fire the base twice. 5) Glue the lantern to base & add twinkle light for atmosphere.

Show Piece: 15.5″ x 5″ Wave for Mantel or Buffet. Design: Enamel paint fused on pieces of glass. Next, created, cut, assembled enamel and purple iridescent glass. Accented with broken bits and stringer glass. This was fused flat. Second fusing was set on a wave mold. Glass base was cut to fit the wave and fused separately. Uses: Can be beautifully illuminated from behind with candle or light.


Show Piece: Large platter 18″ X 14″ and 3 small dip dishes, 3.5″ X 3.5″ .Design: Center shows movements of red, yellow, and orange. Accents are dichroic glass pieces with red noodles. Uses: fruit skewers, cheese plate, and table center piece with candle or tea candle in small dishes.

Show Piece Design: Glass colors are chosen and weighed. Outermost colors set in clay pot first. Pot has holes in base and is raised in the kiln to allow liquid glass to drip below into a lower frame. Upon completion of firing, glass is then set in a plate and fired again. Three plates are set in a steel frame. Frame is mounted on a steel base below glass enhanced with a green pine wood. Plates are easily removed.

19” round bowl and 5″ high. Design: over a clear glass base are laid more than 50 square turquoise and iridescent glass in center of circle. Woven strips of turquoise and clear transparent glass from the center fired over a large bowl.
